The centre of Megève is best explored on foot, and so are its restaurants. Between Place de l’Église, Rue Saint-François and Place de la Résistance, you’ll find a bit of everything: a Michelin-starred table, village bistros, fondue by the fire and even a pizzeria with a bowling alley.
Here are our favourite places, all just a few minutes’ walk from the hotel, whether for a romantic dinner, a family meal or an evening with friends. And on nights when you’d rather not go back out, our own restaurant, Le Restaunome, is waiting for you at the hotel.
Fine dining
Vous · 36 rue Saint-François
A gastronomic counter dreamt up by Julien Gatillon, with young chef Jean Pastre in the kitchen. There are only fourteen seats, set around a pale wood counter facing the kitchen, so you see every plate being prepared. The cooking, French with a mountain touch, earned a star in the 2026 Michelin Guide. Set menus range from €90 to €190 at lunch and from €135 to €190 at dinner. With so few seats, book early, and check the opening days, which vary through the season.
Anata · 36 rue Saint-François
At the same address, upstairs, Anata serves Japanese cuisine. A nice change from Savoyard specialities for one meal. The restaurant isn’t open every day, so check before you go.
Bistros and village restaurants
Le Prieuré · 116 place de l’Église
Right next to the church, this former priory became a restaurant as early as 1930. Today it is chef Emmanuel Renaut’s bistro: generous traditional cooking, a warm mountain setting and a large terrace on the square. Note that it is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays.
Flocons Village · 75 rue Saint-François
The more relaxed little sister of Flocons de Sel, Emmanuel Renaut’s three-Michelin-star restaurant. You’ll find his signature style in a simpler setting, right in the village. Open every day from 19 December 2026 to 1 March 2027.
Fondue, raclette and a Savoyard evening
Le Vieux Megève · 58 place de la Résistance
If you only have one cheese night, this is probably the place. In a large traditional wooden farmhouse, by the fireplace, the Sibuet family serves all the Savoyard classics: fondues (including one with porcini mushrooms), raclette, baked vacherin, berthoud or pela des Aravis. In the evening, an accordionist plays during dinner. Save a little room for the génépi crème brûlée.
Open every day from 19 December 2026 to 4 April 2027, and Wednesday to Sunday from 4 December.
Pizza, bowling and a night out with friends
Cosa Papa · 170 rue Saint-François
For a more laid-back evening, Cosa Papa serves Neapolitan pizzas and hides three bowling lanes and two karaoke rooms. Perfect with teenagers or friends. In winter, it’s open every day from 4pm to 3am, from 3 December.
Our restaurant: Le Restaunome
Why not simply have dinner at the hotel? Le Restaunome is the Au Vieux Moulin restaurant, at 201 rue de la Poste. It serves refined cuisine made with fresh, local produce: fish, cheese specialities and traditional homemade dishes. This winter, it is open in the evenings, from 4 December 2026 to 27 March 2027.
The dining room seats 55. For the festive season, we also offer a Christmas menu and a New Year’s Eve menu. To book, call 04 50 96 65 63, and you’ll find all our menus on the restaurant page.
Our tips for eating well in Megève
- Book ahead, especially during the school holidays and at weekends: the best tables in the centre fill up quickly.
- Check opening dates. Many restaurants only reopen in mid-December, and some close one or two days a week.
- Leave the car at the hotel. The whole centre is walkable, and it’s much more pleasant after a good dinner.
- Ask us for advice. At reception, we know the village’s restaurants well and will point you in the right direction depending on what you fancy.
